601L 1964-68 Chevelle BBC Short Water Pump Alt. & P/S Setup
Bracket system is designed for Big block Chevelles using the SHORT WATER PUMP only. Bracket system will consist of Alternator and PS Brackets. If Compressor Bracket is needed, use the option below to add it to the order. Brackets bolt to top water pump bolt, two points on the outer cylinder head and two bottom holes of drivers side engine block. Will clear up to 3" tall valve covers.
Compressor bracket available via option below. Compressor Bracket Part# is 118R. Compressor Bracket is not included by default.
Brackets require double groove water pump, triple groove crank and single groove power steering pulleys. If no p/s then double groove water and crank pulley. The bracket is designed to mount Sanden 508 / SD5H14 and 709 / SD7H15 compressors.
Metal finish, needs to be painted
A short water pump will sit up against the timing chain cover, a long water pump will have a one inch gap between the rear of the pump and the timing chain cover.
