Standard flare thermostatic expansion valve. This is the most common flare expansion valve used on aftermarket and original applications. The male fittings sizes are:
3/4″-16 male flare thread; connects to the evaporator
5/8″-18 male flare thread; connects to the liquid line which runs to the condenser
This valve is compatible with R-12 and R-134a refrigerants.
