The kit allows for a Complete A/C System to be installed in half the time as it does not require you to get the hoses professionally crimped by a shop or someone you know that has a crimping tool. All you will need is a hose cutter and a pair of crimping pliers which is available as an option on this listing if you don’t already have it. These fittings are made of AISI/SAE 12L14 carbon steel. They also have outstanding corrosion resistance due to Eaton using Dura-Kote™ plating technology. This provides up to 1,000 hours of corrosion resistance in some of the harshest conditions which far exceeds SAEJ514 requirements. These fittings are also extensively used by the US Navy on its small boats. These fittings seal better than the traditional crimp fittings and are re-usable!
