Corvette LS Engine Compressor Bracket

Convert the stock compressor to a sanden on any Corvette LS engine. The bracket will move the compressor from down low to the top of the passenger side of the engine. By moving the compressor you will have better clearance and hose access. This bracket setup is designed with the car builder in mind. The stock compressor might interfere with the frame, this bracket eliminates any fabrication that might be required. The mount plates are made of T6 6061 aluminum which is lightweight and solid. The plates are cut out with a computer controlled, high pressure water jet. All the prototypes were tested for stress and vibrations with finite element analysis. The tensioner is placed in its proper position between the a/c compressor and the crankshaft pulley in the slack portion of the belt. Belt and tensioner geometry is optimized for proper belt tension equivalent to the OEM requirements. All pulleys are aligned with each other within SAE specifications.
The bracket kit includes the following:

  • Water pump brace
  • Spacers
  • Idler pulley mount
  • All mounting hardware coated with zinc to fight off corrosion and rust
  • Tensioner

This bracket kit is made in the USA. The kit requires a Sanden style compressor 508 or 709 with a serpentine clutch and a six rib serpentine belt. The pictures are provided by Kwik Performance.
